The Magic, The Memories and You! Returns to Disney World

Walt Disney World is hosting a special summer version of The Magic, The Memories and You! 

Starting May 25, Disney Channel stars Phineas and Ferb will kick off a summer celebration featuring the beach, the jungle and a visit under the sea.  And, all of it plays out on Cinderella’s Castle.  This is the newest version of the award-winning The Magic, The Memories and You!, a projection show that has wowed audiences again and again since opening over a year ago.
The nighttime display is 10 minutes in length and is made even more special as it features photos of guests captured in the park that very day.  Projected on the spires and towers of Cinderella’s Castle, the dazzling spectacle is a great way to end your memory-making day at Disney World.

Freshwater Oasis at SeaWorld's Discovery Cove Opening Soon

SeaWorld Orlando’s Discovery Cove is a limited admission tropical resort where guests can swim with dolphins, hand feed tropical birds, snorkel among colorful fish and rays and relax on sandy beaches.  Soon, they will be opening Freshwater Oasis, an all-new attraction featuring swimming and wading adventures and face-to-face encounters with Asian otters and marmosets.  

The unique design of the Freshwater Oasis combines a rainforest canopy and sparkling springs where guests can relax and explore.  They can wade through a rain-forest spring as small marmoset monkey’s play in the canopy above them.  There will be no glass separating the monkeys from guests, giving a true look into their world.  Most of the water in the springs is waist-deep or shallower, perfect for families.  The Asian otters play their way around Freshwater Oasis and you can experience their lively energy up-close and personal without ever having to leave the water.  Visitors can also enter a faux sinkhole and swim alongside Asian river otters. The area will include secluded, private beaches and a swim-up lounge named Flooded Terrace.

SeaWorld's TurtleTrek Now Open; Features One-of-A-Kind Experience

SeaWorld Orlando’s newest attraction – TurtleTrek – has officially opened.  Immersive in design, the attraction features the world’s first 3D 360 degree dome theater experience, plus dozens of live sea turtles and manatees in naturalistic habitats.  The unique blend of up-close encounters and state-of-the-art entertainment has created one of Orlando’s must-see summer attractions.


The TurtleTrek experience at SeaWorld starts with a visit to two natural habitats highlighting manatees and sea turtles.  After observing the animals and learning about why each is so important, guests enter the 3D dome.  Surrounded by a hyper-realistic, 3D 360 degree film visitors are taken on a journey of special sea turtle named Nyah.  The completely immersive film gives a turtle’s eye view of the ocean’s wonders, creating an epic adventure for all.

LEGOLAND Florida Waterpark Tickets On Sale Now


The LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park is opening its all-new LEGOLAND Waterpark May 26.  The water park has been designed for families with children ages 2 to 12 with six fantastic zones including the LEGO® Wave Pool, Twin Chasers, Splash Out, the Joker Soaker, DUPLO® Splash Safari and the Build-A-Raft lazy river. This new attraction will add hours of fun water play to an already full day, making LEGOLAND Florida a multi-day destination experience for vacationers.
There are several ticket options available for guests who want to explore the LEGOLAND Florida Waterpark on their vacation:
Guests already at LEGOLAND Florida may access the water park with a $12 per-person upgrade ($3 for children under 3) to a single-day ticket.   

LEGOLAND Florida combo tickets that include the waterpark are now available online as well. When purchased online both one and two day LEGOLAND Waterpark tickets feature a $5 discount. A one day Water Park combo ticket is $82 for adults and $72 for children ages 3-12 and $3 for children under 3.   A two day Water Park combo ticket is a small increase to $92 for adults and $82 for children ages 3-12 and $6 for children under 3.

Tribute Bands Headline Epcot's Sounds Like Summer Concert Series


This Summer is going to rock at Epcot!  Starting June 10 Epcot will host their annual Sounds Like Summer Concert Series, featuring seven of the most popular tribute bands.  They will recreate classic hits like “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Everything Little Thing She Does is Magic,” “Take it Easy” and many more.

Upcoming June Events in Orlando

June 8-9:  Central Florida Pork & Wings BBQ Bash and Competition
Get your fill of BBQ along with live entertainment at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. Admission and parking are free and the event runs from 5-10 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be a kids’ zone and cooking demos.

June 9:  Night Hike at the Zoo

June 9 – July 14:  Universal Orlando Summer Concert Series
Catch some big stars as they perform Saturday nights during the Summer Concert Series. Concerts are included in the price of admission. All performances take place on the Music Plaza stage.

Stay after dark for a music and acrobatics show every night at Busch Gardens. An amazing fireworks display will end each night.

June 10 – July 28:  Sounds Like Summer Concert Series at Epcot
See some of the world’s best tribute bands at Epcot this summer at the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase. Showtimes are scheduled for 5:45 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. nightly.

June 22-24:  22nd Annual Harvest Festival at Lakeridge Winery
All ages are welcome at this yearly family event at the winery. There will be stomping of the grapes, live music, complimentary winery tours and tastings, and local artwork on display. Festival runs from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday. A $2 donation to benefit Cornerstone Hospice of Lake & Sumter is requested.

June 23 – August 12:  Summer Nights at SeaWorld
See a nighttime spectacular every evening at SeaWorld Orlando during Summer Nights. There will be special night shows like Shamu Rocks and Sea Lions Tonite, capped off by a fireworks spectacular.

Celebrate Central Florida Zoo’s 37th Birthday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. with music, food, games, and activities for the kids.

All Aboard the Orlampa Express!


Fantasy of Flight has a new tour highlighting the heritage and nature of central Florida.  To take part in the tour, guests hop aboard an open air trolley known as the “Orlampa Express” and begin a 60-minutes excursion guided by knowledge tour guides.  Side Note: If you’re wondering why the trolley is called the “Orlampa Express,” it’s because Fantasy of Flight owner Kermit weeks dubbed the area, which is halfway between Orlando and Tampa, “Orlampa.”
During the tour, visitors will learn about Florida oranges, pioneer heritage and the natural side of the Sunshine State.  Abundant orange groves, wetlands, forests and scenic Lake Agnes and Helene are all on the agenda.
Tour themes change seasonally. 
The price for the tour is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 12 and under. Hours are 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. daily. General admission to Fantasy of Flight is $28.95 for adults, $26.95 for seniors ages 55 and over and $14.95 for children, ages 6-12, plus tax.
