Universal Orlando Resort is ready to unveil the next chapter in their “Year to be Here” promotion.  The new Superstar Parade and Cinematic Spectacular will have their grand opening on May 8.

SpongeBob Squarepants stars in the new Superstar Parade. 

Universal’s Superstar Parade will put guests in the middle of the action as the interactive experience encourages parents and kids alike to sing and dance along with their favorite characters.  The parade will feature some of today’s most popular characters, including the minions from Despicable Me, E.B. from the movie Hop, SpongeBob Squarepants and Dora and Diego.  Larger-than-life floats, state-of-the-art technology, and hundreds of enthusiastic street performers bring the new parade to life.  Universal park goers will also have the chance to enjoy performances and meet and greets with the parade characters prior to the parade and at select locations throughout the day.

Universal's Cinematic Spectacular will light up the night.

Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular celebrates 100 years of movie memories.  Some of Universal Studios’ best and most enigmatic films will be presented in an imaginative, high-tech display of imagery, light, sound and special effects.  Nearly 200 films are included in the Cinematic Spectacular.  Narrated by Morgan Freeman, the presentation will make quite the impression with crystal-clear clarity on cutting edge waterfall screens within the Universal Studios Lagoon, complete with colorful, dramatically synchronized fountains and pyrotechnics combine with an emotionally powerful musical score.
